This is my home on the internet and it is my pleasure to welcome you here. I am Muralee Thummarukudy. Currently working with the United Nations Environment Programme, based in Geneva (Switzerland). I am originally from Kerala (India) I am a civil engineer by training and emergency response expert by profession. I am introvert by nature but extrovert by posture. I love reading and travelling.

It has always been my dream to be known as a creative writer. I started my experiments with creative writing when I was 17. My first assignment was to write “love letters” on behalf of my friend who could not write in English but was in love with a girl who could not read our native language Malayalam. I then graduated to political speech writing, writing small articles for a group of my friends and so on.

I see creative writing as a means or a tool. It does not matter what you are writing, you can bring creativity into it, if only you were to apply your creative minds into it. I therefore occasionally try some creative writing in official work too. Sometime it works and other times not, but I keep trying anyway.

I started my homepage in 1995 partly to practice my html skills and partly to get a wider group of people to read what I write. However, by early 2000, there were enough specialty software to create homepages that I did not have to hone my skills anymore. So currently this is just a shop window of what I want to tell the world.

In 2010, I published my first book. More books are on anvil.
